— WE ARE AGON —

Agon was founded in 2013 by Micah Childs, Chris Stailey, and Jacob Mashburn in response to the growing need for BIM coordination services. Their paths crossed while working on the coordination effort for the renovation to Madison Square Garden in the winter of 2010.

From the forge, Micah – Chris – Jacob, developed a strong repour with clientele by solving major issues with integrity behind the handshake.  Micah’s extensive experience in MEP fields, Chris’ detail oriented vision, and Jacob’s ability to collaborate well with others brought together a trio that would soon create Agon.

Through strong work ethic and team work, they developed a tight bond and a reputation for adding quality and value to the coordination process.  Quality Coordination by people who know the systems.

Today, Agon continues to be called upon by Owners, General Contractors, and Sub-Contractors to provide honest answers and buildable systems.

WE CARE! Every project has its obstacles and Agon thrives on helping our clients find the solutions needed to move their projects forward.  We are diligent, capable, and proud to deliver a service that our clients have learned to rely on as each project comes their way.

Agon uses macro to micro approach with BIM to provide a foundation of information that can be used to build upon. Our clients need solutions as they go through the Schematic Design, Design Development, Pre-construction [pre-con], Pre-coordination, Construction Document, Coordination, Construction, and As-built phases of each project: we deliver.

Chris is a founding Principal at Agon Coordination with over 17 years of architecture, construction, and design experience ranging from projects like the World Trade Center and Hudson Yards down to your small Mom and Pop shop on Main Street. His background in architecture sanctions an understanding of space, code, how buildings work, and are built.

Chris’ experience yields a macro to micro approach to solving problems using details to achieve solutions to big issues.

When Chris isn’t focused on helping mold Manhattan, he’s driving on mountain roads and learning to become a sculptor.

Jacob is a founding Principal at Agon Coordination with 15 years of professional construction experience. Jacob began his professional journey within the practice of architecture. Rather than staying in the isolated world of architecture, Jacob broke out and began learning more about the various trades where his real love became apparent, getting buildings built.

In 2010, Jacob made the electrical trade his primary focus. He worked hand in hand with both the project managers, designers, and foreman to create a buildable solution for a number of  large scale projects like Madison Square Garden and the World Trade Center.

When Jacob isn’t changing skylines, he likes to spend time with his Wife and son. You can often find him and his family kicking balls at the soccer fields.
